What's this, built by whom, when - for 1 point?:
(I know it's been pictured on AP before but it's never had its own puzzle).

It's possible that these vehicles were made for different customers; my puzzle is not called a Bevo-Boat and is not (quite) from 1925.
Still locked for you to say its name, who this one was built for and when.

Just a clarification, if I may . . . kwgibbs is correct that it is definitely one of the vehicles commonly referred to as "Bevo Boats", built by Anheuser-Busch to promote their beverage lines both before, during and after Prohibition. But Carnut is correct in that this was a generic name, and not the name A-B used for them. I assume that is the name that Carnut is looking for?

Thanks fyreline and you're right.  Anheuser-Busch made 8 of these in 4 different versions and they were generically known as Bevo Boats, but the first one was named Bevo-Boat after their Bevo non-alcoholic beer (it was Prohibition time!) then the others had different names (3 more names).
So I need to know what was this specific vehicle's name?  The final answer to the puzzle is still locked for kwgibbs since he's got 98% of it and he's very nearly there..
Below is the original Bevo Boat:

was it the Land Cruiser?

It was known as that but that's not quite what I'm looking for.
Think of their other beers!
Still locked.

Yes, that's the name I was looking for!
It can also be seen called the 'Budweiser Land Cruiser'; there seem to be so many different names I'm not sure which were 'official' and which were not, but you've given me what I wanted so it's another point for you.

Apparently in this guise it was advertising Anheuser-Busch Ginger Ale . . . the breweries did whatever they had to in order to weather the Prohibition years. Good puzzle.

The key to all this seems to be the New York car dealer and coachbuilder Conover T. Silver who started this style of body on an Overland circa 1916.  The late Keith Marvin educated me many years ago in respect of the Overland, but the brewery connection, I think, was mentioned on the "Old Motor" website relatively recently. 8)
