No, sorry - this is not enough for a point.
The name of its builder is well known.
But I will LOCK this for you now.

I can add that it's from Southampton, Long Island and it reached 85mph.
Still working on it...

There are many photos around, but not too many sources mention the builder...
IŽll unlock this on Sunday unless you find something valid, O.K.?

Ok...after browsing dozens of 'popular magazines', I found another similar car...unfortunately there was no name but fortunately it was different. A midget racer capable of 85mph built for a movie star. Was this one by a movie star too?
And is the year 1920 correct?

Robert Breese drove this car in the last two photos in 1920.
The person who was in charge is the person in my (first) puzzle photo.
I need the other name...

I googled '1920 midget car' and found this:
Is Art Smith the name you are looking for?
Still digging...

To keep searching I'd like to know if the year, 1920, is correct and if the builder was from Southampton.
You said it's a known name, was it Art Smith?

I will give you this point now!
My source talked of Duc Decaze and the year 1921.
But you convinced me, that it might have been sold to the french duke later.
I also found another 1920 photo:

Even in 1933 there was a comic citing this car:
