Solved - NEH 2928: Fiat 500 Topolino Testa d'Oro fitted later with Zagato coupé body

This car has actually appeared on AP before I have learnt, so what I want now is not just what it is but whoever can post a picture of what the same car looked like at a later stage in its life will get the point.  Good hunting!

It's the Drin Drin Testadoro, built by Luigi Giusti on a Gilco chassis with Fiat 500A engine.

You've certainly identified the right car.
But as far as the picture of the car at a later stage of its life is concerned, I don't think that's correct.  The picture you have posted is certainly another Giusti Drin Drin, but I believe that is a different, newer, car - a Drin Drin Mk 2 if you like.
So you still need to come up with a picture of the Mk 1 car with its later body..

I have a photo of what it says is this car with a replacement body; I have no real proof that it is actually what it says it is because it is quite familiar-looking but on the other hand it may be quite likely.

There's a Zagato bodied Barchetta at pag 74 of this book:
I'll upload it but I doubt it's that.

Sorry, I meant the 750 Barchetta, that was later developed in a small serie.
There's a pic in that book but it should be the same car as this one.

I checked Marchianò's book and the car pictured there is the same barchetta of my previous pic.

Ok, thank you for your generosity.
I found an article about Panoramica cars by Zagato: there are 13 cars pictured there and the article lists all the ones that received that body.
According to the article, the Panoramica design was used for a Fiat 500b tuned by Facetti (that raced with #67) and a Fiat 500c with a Testadoro engine, nicknamed 'Scansina' with #623.
The Scansina is quite known and I doubt it was never reported that it was the old Drin-Drin, but it's the only guess I can think of.

All my images of this puzzle are on my computer at work and I've been on holiday since the week before last.  So in view of what you have now posted I've tracked down my source and taken another look at the picture that I'm asking for.  Whilst it is a Zagato body and is very similar to the Panoramica it is actually not quite a Panoramica because the windows don't wrap into the roof.
So it's not the picture you've posted or any other of the Panoramicas in your book but a very similar - but conventional - body.  Sorry if I've misled you there, but my memory failed me a bit when I didn't have the images to draw on.
I will keep it locked for you since I led you up the garden path a bit, to see if you can find the picture I'm looking for.

There's something I need to know: I have several pics of Zagato-bodied cars but no-one is said to be the old Drin-Drin.
Is the one you are looking for a particular model, a specific car you can recognize among others or a car widely known as something else but not in your source?

There are quite a few pictures of very similar-looking cars on the net, although I haven't found one with exactly the same grille.  The bottom half (below the waistline) looks almost the same as the coupé you posted but with a different grille, then the cabin is slightly different without the Panoramica-style windows.  There is only one picture I have found which claims it is the pictured Testa d'Oro car re-bodied, and the claim is made by the owner of the car.

I hope that answers your question, or would you like me to name the cars I've found that look very similar? They all seem to be the same model.

thank you, I think It's fair to let others join the puzzle.
My next move will be take a scan of those Zagato cars that may be close to the one you are looking for and post them one by one untill I find the right one.
