I love that car! But I only know the make and nothing more.

As far as I know the car was built in-house for the owner/designer, a man well-known for his connections to this make.

Mister Tiller perhaps?

Not Jim Tiller but someone (now deceased) who was closely involved with the company in the 1940s/1950s.

Bristol 450 originally built in 1953, modified for Anthony Crook to use on the road

Or am I barking up totally the wrong tree?

Thank you for the extra photos Joao.
As I mentioned earlier I believe the coachwork was built in-house by Allard or by a local panel-beater under their supervision.
All I need for the point is the model it was based on and the owner who also designed it.

J2 for Raymond Baxter
It is a J2 but not for Raymond Baxter.
The man in question was undoubtedly Allard's best postwar customer.....

I should have read my source more carefully. It is Godfrey Imhof.

Yes, that's it.
Godfrey "Goff" Imhof designed this coupe on a lengthened J2 chassis.
I'm still unsure of who built the body and the Allard Register doesn't say either.
There is a fuller description of the car in their archives.
