NSU-Fiat?

Actually it seems to be called all sorts of variations on the theme..
One of them is NSU-Neckar and I've seen Fiat mentioned too.
But I'm still looking for one other name (think of the original Italian model..)
So let's say NSU-Neckar-***** 1500 TS!
Still locked for you.

Siata?

That's it, yes!
I'll put all the names in the heading then the all the angles are covered.

Nice idea, but not very helpful or correct. Nobody will ever search for a NSU-Neckar-Siata, and because of the hyphens, no parts of it will be found in a search. Furthermore it is either a Neckar or a NSU-Fiat, while NSU was a completely different company by then. I don't know the official Neckar type designation, but as a NSU-Fiat, it was referred to as the NSU-Fiat 1500 TS Coupé (Siata), which would make it probably a Neckar 1500 TS Coupé (Siata).

Thanks.  I was waiting for your correction..!

I have to say I'm confused by all the different names out there.
Up until yesterday I thought it was a Neckar-NSU but looking for its correct name brought up a different name on every website I visited..
It was even called a Neckar Mistral in France to add to the confusion.

One of the names was Neckar-Siata, but I assume that's not right either then?

I'll change the heading in the meantime and I hope we have it right now.  I'm not convinced Neckar even knew what to call it!

Confusing indeed! Can anyone recommend any books on the smaller German car manufacturers?

I know this is an old topic, but NSU-Fiat and Neckar-Fiat is confusing. I've been collecting badges for Fiat, branching into non-Italian builders.

NSU sold their new German (Heilbron) plant to Fiat due to financial problems. In 1957 NSU decided to build cars again, so asked Fiat for their name back. NSU-Fiat neo-Fiats were built 1929 to 1957 (and maybe 1958). I say "neo" because though they bought rights to build from Fiat, they often improved/changed the line. Most agree Neckar built a superior product, to the Italian models. I think it was in 1959 when the new Neckar (the 1100?) came out. They stopped production in 1971 because of "high labor costs" and Fiat wouldn't sell them rights to the latest models.

A lot of sites repeat what they saw on other sites, possibly because the dealers encouraged the "error". (The NSU Prinz was noted for reliability.) BTW, the Neckar name comes from a nearby river. Names are further confused. e.g. the 1959 Fiat 1100 was known as the Europa when built by Neckar, though either name works.
