Solved - MJW #132 - Rosengart LR4 Lafage 1932/1949
« on: December 01, 2010, 12:44:54 PM »
I believe this may be a repost but I've searched both marque and coachbuilder without success.
Please let me know and I'll exchange it.
If it's not a repost - one point for marque, model, coachbuilder, year and year of re-bodying.

Technically it is, it was one of my puzzles that got deleted a while ago. As it's not in the 'database' I can't see it being a problem to post it again.

Thanks for that - I thought I'd seen it on here somewhere before.
Okay I'll carry on with the puzzle if you have no objections

It's very French!
The base car is much older than the body it now carries.

Rosengart 5cv '38 rebodying by Lafage '50?
It is a Rosengart
I need the model number (not 5cv) and the year of the base chassis (a few years earlier then 1938)
Lafage is correct for the bodybuilder but it was 1949 when this was done.
Anyway, locked for you until your next reply.

Yes it's a Rosengart LR4 from 1932 rebodied by Lafage in 1949
One more point for you and an extra point to Oguerrerob for pointing out the repost and providing the superb extra images.
Well done!

What a nice little beast.

For one point, please respond and identify this car by telling me when it was built, by whom and based on what.

By the color looks French, could it be a Simca-Gordini of the '40s?

It is French, but not a Simca-Gordini.

I've it as a 1938 ROSENGART 5CV body by Lafage.
