Is this car a one-off, or from a known maker?

One-off is what my source says. Think it's quite obscure. Took it from a small book about .....* racing cars. There's a page on the internet that features this car.

*still unsolved country

Do you know whether this photo was taken at a hillclimb, or at a race track?

That's the one!
Apparently it was later equipped with a Porsche 2,0 l engine. The puzzle car had a 1600 cc motor.

And I was looking through the contents list of that book (which is available online) and didn't notice that there was a second side to the list which was in reverse alphabetical order, so I missed the entries starting with A and part of
B.  :bag:

Nice!
According to my source it was nearly impossible to drive as it came out of the workshop, but after heavy modifications it raced not too successfully either for two seasons in the late sixties. Apparently it got lost in the seventies.

According to Classic & Sports Car magazine this car was originally Lotlus-powered when it was built, with the engine later being swapped for a BMW...
It was sold in London in 1968 but then hasn't been heard of since.

In 1965 this car was powered by a 1700ccm Porsche RSK engine:
