Some internet sources proove your Heuliez guess right...

However my source, a french book about vintage busses tells a different story.

I will leave it ike that and hope will find proof for this one...

 Now I've had a chance to check, I'm sticking with Louis Heuliez and 1938. Buick must have like the grille design, because they more or less copied it about ten years later....

All I know now it is a postwar design and it has a special name.

Tell me a reasonable year and the point will be yours.

Sorry Grob, I reckon this is definitely pre-War, or 1939, at the start of the War. The information I have (two sources) says Heuliez, 38/39. If this isn't correct, please unlock. Thanks.

Sorry for the very delayed answer. After having checkes several sources I think you are right with Heuliez.
My source claimed it to be a Citroen T55 1955 bus with Gruau Delaval bodywork.

1939 is not too probable in my eyes - I found a ca. 1948/49 brochure of Heuliez, so this point is yours...

FWIW, I have this as a Citroen P45 with body by Heuliez 1950, showed at the 1949 Paris show, a little confusing, might be the translation.
I also found a similar bodied truck on a Citroen chassis 1949 on another Heuliez history site, below.

Edit:  A little more research, and 1949 seems to be the correct year.

My sincere apologies for posting a link.  The blog where I found the photo would not allow the copying of the photo, which I found very interesting, and that was at the time the only way to present it.

I have in the meantime, found the photo again under the name of the user company and present it below as a photo.

As to the exact year of the vehicle, sometimes too much research is not a good thing
There are multiple sites dealing with Heuliez and I gather not all are completely accurate.
