No, they are all what I would call Panoramicas; the correct car has all-flat glass.

Much more similar, but the one I'm looking for has rounded wheelarches and a different front grille.
Although I was looking for a specific picture, that's not to say there aren't other pictures of the same car around, which would also be OK if it can be shown to be the rebodied Testa' d'Oro.
There was a 'regular' model with bodywork that looks just about the same.

Yes, it's a different shape entirely.
Going by the hole for it the grille looks almost round, although there is a grille lying on the floor beside it which doesn't look like it would fit the hole to me, being more rectangular with rounded corners and wider than it is high!

No, about the same size but a more rounded slightly egg-shaped one.
I would say the same as the one pictured in your reply #19, so it's very similar to that car but with different headlights and glasshouse.

It's still RHD and believe it still has wire wheels, though in the photo it's wheel-less on axle stands..  There is a wire wheel next to it which looks like it belongs.

I have stumbled across a blog with the photo below, which looks like the photo you are describing (RHD, on axle stands, loose wire wheel, rounded grill, etc.), and is said to be a Zagato bodied Testa d´oro from the early 1950s.  Is this the one you are looking for?

You certainly do seem to stumble across some good answers!  Despite spending hours on websites researching all my puzzles I never ever stumble across any answers!

You've stumbled across the right one this time as that is the picture I was looking for.  Said to be the same car as that in the puzzle picture but a few years further on.

So that's 2 points!  Well done.
