The longest comment to the picture (in Spanish) explains the story of Dante Baudena who arrived at Uruguay from France and setup a business for automotive-bodywork building based on the chassis from several other cars (among them the 1900 Alfa), the main reason for this business being that the uruguayan buyers could spare some kind of local taxes on imported finished cars. He later moved to Argentina where he continued with his business on a larger scale. The pictured car however doesn't completely fit in this story as apparently he specialized in sport and luxury cars. Also the Alfa Romeo logo in the glove box is baffling Enclosed a picture of Dante in his bodyshop.
