In reply number 3 this car seems to be falsely accused of being Russian. Ukraine was and is no part of Russia, although some in Russia wouldn't mind to change this.
SARB (SARV?) stands for Severodonetskaya Avtoremontnaya Vaza. The company was based in Severodonetsk, Ukraine.

Since dzima's posts it's clear you had actually found the right car, as the name you mentioned "Doe" is an English translation of its Russian name "Lan".
I feel inclined to give you a point anyway since what should have been your puzzle was pinched from under your nose..
