On July 5, 1930 Eyston and Eldridge broke some long distance records at Montlhéry in the 1100 cc class with a Riley. Is it this one?

1933 Riley Six (12/6) of Eyston, Denly and Maclure. It was a sleeved-down version of the 14/6.

I had been using the internet to search for the car, but as we all know the internet is useless. A photo of the car is in Georgano's Encyclopedia of Motorsport. where it is captioned as a 1933 1.5-litre 6-cylinder, so it may be the same car I had already mentioned, but rebodied and used a different year.

Thanks for the point.  :)

The reply I posted this morning and had to withdraw (because the thread had been locked while I was writing it) said that Eyston had established records in a "Riley 6" which I had deduced was a 14/6 (as the real 12/6 was a later engine) and at Montlhery.
Nice to know I was there or thereabouts, and I certainly don't need the points now!
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

Sorry, Allan. I think Grob was very generous to lock it for me for as long as he did. I didn't know this car had ever existed.
