1938 Fiat 1500 Cabriolet by Pininfarina. It appears to closely imitate the contemporary American Cord 810, on a much smaller scale.
That's right.
It's usually Italian design influencing other countries' rather than American design influencing the Italians, but on this occasion it was the other way around.
Strictly speaking I suppose it should be by Pinin Farina rather than Pininfarina, which didn't actually officially become one word until 1961, although most
post-war designs of theirs seem to refer to 'Pininfarina'; this being pre-war however I believe it should be two words.
We've actually had this before 8 years ago (when it was described as being by Pininfarina - one word!) so it now has to be merged.
