Judging by the steering wheel and the dash instruments I'd say it's 1933/34 Ford, also no semi elliptic rear springs and if you look closely I think V8 can be seen on the spare wheel hub cap.

Is this an original body made in the 30's by a well known Italian coachbuilder or is it something made recently?

I found it, not 1933/34 but Viotti-bodied 1935 Ford boattail Speedster was once owned by Italian racing ace and author Count Giovanni “Johnny” Lurani.

May I add my congratulations also Robbie!!

I spent a lot of time on this one and was completely off the mark.  The RHD just kept sending me in the wrong direction.  I suspect very, very few RHD Fords made their way to Italy as Italy was a pretty well closed market for "Everyman's Cars" in that era and even today.

Good Job :applause: :applause:

Cheers

brushing up on RHD history now...

There's plenty of it..
Most Italian sports car of the pre-war and immediate post-war period seem to have been RHD, in addition to many French cars.
Early American cars were RHD too.
Most places started by driving on the left but switched at various stages in the 20th century to the right (or wrong?!) side, but there are plenty who didn't, the biggest being the obvious ones of the UK and Ireland, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand but also of course India, Pakistan, Japan, Thailand, Bahamas, Jamaica and many other countries which were at one time part of the British Empire..

This little map will help you; New Zealand seems to have dropped off the world but of course it, too, drives on the left!:
