It has a panoramic windscreen, so was it designed in the late fifties ?
Yes it was.

Designed in 1958 ?
I don't have an exact date but it's safe to assume that or the following year.

So what's needed for a point ? A project name ?

And who's attached to said project, yes.

Was it designed in cooperation with somebody outside of the university ?

Not to my knowledge, this appears to have been done solely from within.

Are we looking for the name of a man (like "Professor Müller"), or the name of an organization (like "Institute of Transportation Technology") ?

I'm after the name of the person behind this project, the organization you already have - this came from Geneva University.

Yes a student, nothing I've been able to find anything about the career after this though. One would assume that they didn't become a car designer...

I've tried many different keywords in different languages and nothing came out. Is there some information about this car available in English on the web ?

In English, certianly. The web? I'm not sure, I sourced these images out of a book I own. The book is well known, but I don't know if this has made it to the web. There's difficulties googling due to similar names with other popular search results.

Bumping this one back to the top, if it disappears again for a few weeks it'll be consigned to the black hole I'm afraid!

I have two pending points attached to this puzzle so for sure I'd like it to be fully solved quickly, unfortunately there's zero trace of this Swiss project online and obviously I don't own the book where it is described.

I can only try to guess the answers to the remaining questions, which can take ages (remember the tuning puzzle ?), so are you ready for that ?

Here we go : is the project name a single word whose first letter is between A and M ?

Not a word, it uses the initials of the designer. Yes to the first letter.

As a further clue, the last name of the person that designed this is identical to someone who made world news a couple of years ago for something very unique.

Baumgartner ?

Well now this is why I shouldn't give out clues on their own!  ;D

Yes, this was by a _ Baumgartner, so that gives you the last name and second letter of the project name.

Also, I must say, OUTSTANDING sleuthing to get that name on the first guess...
