The setting doesn't look European. Was the photo taken in Africa in a French colony?

The photo was made in Europe and the vehicle was built in Europe.

There are steppe regions also in Europe...

No.

But you are exactly the one who might pronounce the name of this vehicle correctly... ;)

There were only a few Hungarian-made military vehicles before the 1st WW. Let's see. Magyar Waggon és Gépgyár?

Ganz?

Well - much easier.

I do not know where the company was located.

Another photo of the complete train:

No.

The name I have is a double name.

The other name is possibly better known in the military train context and not hungarian.

No, the Tlaskal train looks different.

Maybe it has only been built after the patents of this hungarian guy.
And maybe it has partly been built in the factory of the second half of the name.
Then it was mainly built outside of Hungary.
For sure it was commissioned by the hungarian ministry of commerce.

I know how the Tlaskal train looks :) I have drawings, original photos etc. But I had to try it.

There was also the French Renard road train which was tested in Hungary. Otherwise, I have no idea.

Let's see, we have a guy and a factory. Was the factory Laurin-Klement?

O.K.

Now I can LOCK it for you.

It is indeed a variation of the Train Renard.

But it was named XXXXXX-Renard.

Yes, this is the Hevesy-Renard Train

I checked out the 15 January, 1911 issue of Allgemeine Automobil Zeitung which featured a detailed report on this.
The test was in Hungary, but the train was a French one.
