Not a true classic car I guess, but good looking it surely is. Made in the US ?

Aaargh...I'm sure I saw this car not long ago! Is it built by an individual?

Not made in the U.S.

I have no doubt you have seen images of this car, Paul Jaray.  Fortunately for puzzle integrity, this image does not appear on the internet (besides here).  There are images of this car online, during construction and as completed.

A team of people worked on this car, but the work is credited to the designer and the body craftsman.

Is it an Alfa Romeo 2300 Barchetta by Bianco?

LOCKED for Joćo, to provide the name of the car, and the man behind the project.

This car was built by Mr. Toni Bianco, and is powered by Alfa Romeo.  I don't know if it is a 2300, but the car is not named "Alfa Romeo 2300 Barchetta".

For Paul Jaray, the car is not from NZ.

1978 Reggia, equipped with a 1950“s Alfa Romeo engine, built by an italian aluminium "artist" in Brazil, now owned by Eduardo Azevedo.

Built by following classic Superleggera principles:

Not quite right, but close enough for grobmotorix to earn a point.

The puzzle car is not actually the 1978 model owned by Eduardo Azevedo.  The puzzle car is "Reggia II", as constructed by Toni Bianco, to the design of Eduardo Prado.

Azevedo's car includes 3 gills behind the front wheels, while Reggia II includes 4 or 5.

The puzzle car was completed sometime after 2010, as a web site from that year shows initial design and construction work.  The chassis of Reggia II apparently started out being based on that of a Chinese truck, and it does have a 4-cylinder Alfa Romeo engine.

Like most of the images in the reply from Grobmotorix, the puzzle was a screen capture from the second episode of the TV show "Chrome Underground".
