Till now I got for sure that it is a coachbuilted Typ2...now Allemano's questions make me doubt about this convinction. Is it a Volkswagen?

It is based on a rear-engined Volkswagen, but it is not a Typ 2.

That's exactly what happened. Think about it and you may find out why this was done. That may help you a little bit in order to focus on the solution.

I think the VW base was rather not a Beetle.

The only hint I found is with a certain Herr Grundmann, who worked at Framo before the war.

It is not him. I think the solution will be hard to find online. Although the company still exists, they just mention these cars just in a single sentence without a picture. I found the company's name in a magazine article.

It is from the 1950s, but I don't have an exact date. It was not built in Zwickau.
