This one is a Horch H1.  31 examples built in 1950 as prototypes/test vehicles.
As far as I know, it was based on the WWII Horch Medium Passenger Car chassis concept.
It proved too expensive and too hard to maintain and was dropped in favour of a much cheaper alternative.

I knew you would be the one to solve this one, though it is rarely mentioned in literature. It is also sometimes referred to as H1K (K for Kübelwagen).Well done!

I had to go through "the back door" on this one.  I recognized it was in a museum and had to search my data base of German vehicle museums for quite a while before I finally found it.  That then led me to the photo I posted and further information.
