Just to fill in some blanks.
Steyr 740, built in 350 examples 1937-1939. This one looks like a fairly early one.
Here is an ambulance version of a later year I believe.

Yes, quite handsome vehicles and with a quite good reputation in the day.
BTW, there was a typo in my response that I have fixed. 350 740's were made.
