Originally this was started in the ID the car topic, but this proves to be more difficult. Here's a transcript of the original comments, the car is still a mystery

I will take a chance and suggest it may be a ca. 1928 Lincoln.
ID points are the wheels and small hubcaps, the louvers in the side of the motor hood, the distinct moulding between the hood and the cowl, the chrome surround of the radiator and the moulding lines below the door windows.
(The mascot doesn't look like the greyhound and the car appears to be smaller than a Lincoln, so the search continues)
sixtee5cuda: Besides the headlights, another thing to look for is the curved design at the top of the radiator. This is reflected with indents in the front of the hood/bonnet, which fade away as you move towards the windshield. Definitely not a Buick feature.
Another thing I noticed reflecting the brand/age of this car: The abrupt downward curvature at the trailing edge of the front wind/fender probably belongs to a car built before 1926, possibly before 1924. Do you know the age of the picture?
(I said the picture is dated from 1932, but that is only an estimate)
Tom_I:
There are not too many clues to work on, but the artillery-type wheels look to have only four fixings around the rims, while the Lincoln has six. But I think the cylindrical headlamps might give the best clue. Buicks from the late 1920s had lights a bit like that, but so far I haven't managed to make any convincing matches.
There are fittings for a spare wheel to be mounted on that front wing. I don't know if that helps at all.
