i have got this as Alexis-DAF Mk5, Monaco F3 1964

That was quick! Yes, it's the "hack" used by DAF to test the suitability of their CVT unit in competition. They bought this Alexis (not really a very competitive car) and adapted the "variomatic" CVT belt to the Cosworth engine - driver Rob Slotemaker finished 7th in the Monaco F3 support race. The next year they raced pretty well with more up-to-date Brabham chassis.

This photo clearly shows the DAF CVT unit as installed in place of the usual Hewland gearbox.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia
