I have been thinking for some time that AH might be an Erad, which is/was produced in Aniche, near Calais.  The only connection I could think of was 24, which has already been established as American Sherman amphibious tanks used in the invasion of Normandy.  The problem I have is the invasion wasn't at Calais, although a diversionary invasion was carried out there.  Since it is the only remaining connection I see, I'll try AH-24, with the connection being northern France.

Yes, I'm well aware of where the picture was taken.  I just can't figure out what to tie it to, as I can't figure out what E is.  Is E a British marque?

Might AH be a Ligier Nova?  If so, perhaps it shares the Nova model name with 10 (Chevrolet Nova?).

Yes, I understand I am looking for a name (I was thinking Gregoire), but it is difficult if you don't know the identity of either vehicle.  I assume that the name is a person's name, as opposed to a manufacturers name, although they could be the same (Peugeot, Citroen, Renault).  You have said that AH is a French microcar, and we have established that 10 is European.  Is 10 also a French vehicle?

At last something starts to make sense! After looking at thousands of pictures of French microcars, I now realise that I have seen AH, but the photo was so small that I didn't recognise it.

Anyway, the final hint picture is a Simca 9 Aronde, the 2-door estate version of which was called the "Châtelaine". I now see that #10 is also a Simca Aronde, but it looks to be the "Coach" model (2-door pillarless coupé).

AH is a "La Chatelaine", the first model of microcar made from about 1985 onwards by Automobiles Chatenet of Pierre-Buffière near Limoges in west-central France.

So I think the link is the name "Chatelaine".
