Immediately postwar German racing was very poorly cocumented so not much is available on the web.  All I can find is C. Steyvers racing a "Fiat" at the Avus in 1948.  (After then, VW/Porsche dominate the 1100cc & 1500cc classes)

Rolf Früngel in his "Fiat Sport" from 1948?

As I am trying any car with Fiat in its name at Dessau that I can find , please unlock to give those who may know a chance.

Fritz Bagge in his Fiat Eigenbau in 1952

Besides Fritz Bagge I have found three other drivers who ran in 1952 with Fiat  at Dessau, Werner Gaudigs, Max Neuber y Harald Kuchen. Trying with this names I have found a photo in a french forum that suggests that the puzzle driver could be Werner Gaudigs.

So I will try Werner Gaudigs, Dessau 1952, FIAT-NSU.

If I am right thanks to D-type for giving me the clue and let saco unlock.

It should be NSU-Fiat, not Fiat-NSU.

Werner Gaudigs came from Zeitz. The picture was taken at the 3rd Dessauer Auto- und Motorradrennen on May 11, 1952.

I had the same picture lined up as a puzzle.  :sigh:

He was still successful with this car in 1954:
