I'm almost sure it's a Vauxhall, judging by the bonnet and the mascot, but not the smaller Cadet, more like the larger

I'm happy to give you the point for that. It's a 1930 model, so it was (according to Georgano) still called simply the T-Type. It became the T80 in 1931, but it was the same car.

Well done. If you look closely, you can see the famous Vauxhall flutes on the top of the bonnet.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Thank you for the point, at first I ruled out Vauxhall because it seemed to lack the very distinctive bonnet flutes, but on closer look they are very much there, and the mascot is unmistakable.

Vauxhall's model denomination can be quite confusing and seems to vary according to the source.

I have found the car below and it's said to be a 1930 Vauxhall 20-60 Kingston Coupe

The 20/60 was known as the R-Type and was made between 1928 and 1930. The T-Type superseded it but they look almost identical. The body style seems to have been available on both.
