When I first saw your photo I thought how the hell is anybody going to solve that, but I was trying to identify the cars at that point which was hard as they are so small.
Looking at the venue, it looked like a horse racing track (to me) so I started to find out about automobile racing on horse tracks in England (then Ireland) and finally on strands (Irish for beach)
So it was horse racing and that church that solved the puzzle for me, I only found your image when I figured out it must be Tramore.
Your other puzzle showing the Vickers factory at Brooklands was a lot easier as my dad worked for Vickers in the late 40's so I immediately recognised the place.
I had fun solving that, thanks for taking the time to post the puzzles,
Regards,
Wayne
