It was a prototype but the builder was indeed from Sicily.

The british motorcycle brand is quite known but it had also a very strong link to the Automotive field, plus with a very, VERY known italian man who later set up a globally known brand of sports cars.

I think the cigarette brand is Black Devil which makes the nickname Diavolo Nero.
But that leads me to Omobono Tenni who was not from Sicily and whose name doesn't fit in the pattern.

There's no more to be found.
Giuseppe de Salvo built this vehicle around 1941 and remained a one-off.
He built a 750 Sport, BMW-powered, in 1950 too!
