You've definitely found the correct car, and I will now LOCK the puzzle whilst I investigate. I had the car down with a different designation, but I now believe that my source was misleading. I admit that I don't know much about Japanese racing of that period, and there is not a great deal of information on the internet. The usually reliable source of which I am a member has a good thread, but unfortunately the links and photos have been deleted since it appeared.

I'll award the point if you tell me which company built the car.

Sorry, "thewarlord", I have been using incorrect information. You are of course completely correct, and you have been right all along. I am very sorry indeed, and apologise to you and all AP members for being stupid.

As I said before, my knowledge of Japanese cars is not good, and I had this car on file under the wrong name. I had believed something written on the internet, which is always a dangerous thing to do if you don't check the source.

One very well-deserved point to you.
