Well that'll be based on the Triumph Herald/Spitfire/Vitesse chassis.
What it is pretending to be I cannot imagine, unless it's based on a child's drawing of a Wolseley Hornet Special.

That's about it, yes.  A Special based on a Spitfire or GT6 (not sure which) but I don't know what it was meant to look like either.  I don't believe he had any particular vehicle in mind, just something vaguely 'old'!

Here's the original picture:

I was surrounding the puzzle and I had just found it when Allan L solved it so congrats Allan L. I had found it as JC Midge kit car an MG repplica with triumph base.

Ah, thanks for that.  No wonder it looked vaguely familiar..

That makes it a re-post of sorts:

Agreed, in which I'll merge it with the top one?

DVLA has this as a 1296cc Truimph Herald 13/60 rather than Spitfire, GT6 or Vitesse

I tried to be too clever, which is why I didn't get the point. I could see the giveaway rear camber, and also thought it could be a Midge, but knew we'd had one before. I looked at the radiator shell, and went looking for images of replica Lagonda cars! It seems that Midge cars came with all sorts of radiator styles. Win some, lose some.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

You seem to get a good number of points anyhow!
Comparing my score with yours, you wouldn't think I'd been doing this six years longer than you :(

If this isn't a JC Midge (also known by its later manufacturer names of Locust, T&J Sportscars, etc.) then I am an avant-garde Belgian jazz musician (which I am not!)  :o

It is indeed, as it says in the title (except there wasn't room for the 'JC' bit..)
Perhaps it should be merged?
