Home-made or official make ?

This one was, I believe, home-built but it led to a (very) small number being built; how many I'm not sure but probably only one or two more.

I'm a little confused with this puzzle, maybe the problem is mine by my poor understanding of English but  after inquiring in internet the only thing I have is that it seems clear that is a Gordon Hook Amero.
I found the puzzle car with some information related to Amero GT which seems built between 4 and 6 but it is not clear if this is the first 2 + 2 amaro from which derived the other or a subsequent, because a source refers to the first Amaro GT like the second picture (the one I had) and I found another photo as a later version, that is not equal (look side windows) but it is more like the puzzle. :-\

You've got the right gist of what it is, but it cannot be described as "an Amero GT" because it actually pre-dates the Amero GT.  As it says, Gordon Hook got hold of this body and developed the Amero GT from it.  Any idea who built this then? (I'll have to check my files on my other computer to see if I know - I'm not sure I do!)

Still locked for serra!

Yerterday I got mad looking for more info about this car, I have not found many sources for info about Ameros, but it looks the origin of Amero GT is not clear. Most sources sugest that Gordon Hook takes the mould from an unfinished body started for an  Air New Zealand (TEAL) unknown worker in 60s for getting his one-off car. It is sugested that this unknown enployee started his project from a Bowel mk 5, but I think this has not been probed too. After getting the mould it is thought that Gordon sell the original project to other named Reynolds, and if my English does not fail me the sources sugest that this could be the Markson but cant prove it. I think the puzzle car can be the prototype for the Amero GT or the first of them but may be I am grong.

That's all I've been able to find out about it as well, so we'll call it solved.
Although the Amero GTs were made by Gordon Hook (4 - 6 of them made) it wasn't his original design, as he simply modified and developed the home-built car made by an un-named Air New Zealand engineer.  Good job he did as he save a basically interesting design from oblivion!
Well done.
