It's a 1948 Sauter - Fiat with a Fiat 1100 engine!

Which would make it a repost of an old puzzle of mine: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=16126.0

Yes ! Built in Switzerland but I have and other name !

faksta

Sauter Spezial?

Sauter have this car on their site as Sauter Spezial built in 1948 with a Fiat 1100 engine, the first Sauter built AFAIK.

 :bump:

There's no doubt this is the same car. Can the point be awarded?
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

2 Swiss eigenbau :
What do you think about it ?

That's a very interesting thing - I can see why you were looking for a different name. The reason I thought the puzzle was solved was because of a site mentioned before, and I have sent you a PM with the link.

Do you think your source was a magazine or newspaper which printed an incorrect caption?

OK ! Fiat 1100 Sauter Spezial 1948
If someone know Gaulschi and Kaslin ?
1 point for faksta  :)

Wendax

I think it is rather Gautschi and Käslin.

The well-known "certain site" does not have details of a Preis von Bremgarten in the relevant years, although there were national races at the track. The only Fiat 1100 based car was driven by someone by the name of Roos. We may never know.......
