Found it on a classifieds web site, as a Citroën 2cv Custom Build, for sale at £1800. It's based on a 1989 Citroën 2cv and was modified by some Dave from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, UK. It took him 3 years to customize it. Original 602cc engine.

I'm amazed you managed to find that!
I took the puzzle photo myself and the owner assured me the car did not feature anywhere on the 'Net...  Hmmm..  I don't know how you even know where to start looking for these things..

However, I do need the car's name and the builder's name for the point so I'll lock it for you for 24 hours to see if you can find those.

Well, it wasn't that hard. It was fairly obvious that it was a modified Citroën 2cv with a Jaguar grille : I tried several keyword combinations until "2cv custom yellow jaguar" yielded the result.

Unfortunately, I have no clue how to find the car's name and the builder's name as they are not mentioned in the information I've found, so you can unlock the puzzle.

OK, unlocked.  It does have a name emblazoned on the rear of the car and it is possible to find it out!
I doesn't actually have any Citroen body bits that weren't modified hence I thought it didn't look too much like a 2CV..
I suppose the proportions belie the base however.

Apart from the general proportions, the front doors are unmistakably 2cv !

The car was built by David Roberts from Barnby Dun near Doncaster, but despite having found a couple of photos, I have had no luck in finding the name of the car.

That's right, so it's time for a little clue.
The name of the car is a play on the builder's name..

The alphabetic part of the guy's username on a well-known auction website is "Davrob", so let's start with that.

Not Trebors is it?
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Perhaps it's a Strebor?

Yes it is - as simple as that, just Roberts in reverse!

Below is a picture which shows the name, although I can't read it..
Also another picture or two!

What I've done is given fyreline a point for getting the name but also I've given oko94 a point for tracking down the car in the first place.
