What's this, by whom, from when - for 1 point?:

Maybe you are looking for Abarth?
The car is from 1964
I found it also wrongly captioned as an Abarth 2300 Coupé from 1962

Yes I was.
I know what the usual early 60s Abarth coupés by Ellena look like of course but the site where I found this reckoned it was an Abarth using the body of the Ellena Fiat..
I'll try to find it again!
In the meantime I've given you a point but I'll move it when I'm satisfied I have the right answer.

I didn't need to look far!
Here's the unmodified puzzle photo (blown up in size a bit) which clearly shows 'ABARTH' written on the front; it also has a Scorpion badge on the grille.
So I'll assume someone has put Abarth 2300 mechanicals into a Fiat Ellena 1500 body..

I believe you're right.
There is one pictured in my book on Abarths (this one? I doubt if they made many), described as 1961 Ellena-designed Fiat-Abarth 1600 Coupé.  That must be what it is so I'll change the heading.

This Ellena body was first showed in 1962, in a different version (first and second picture) and was put into production from 1963 in a second version.
The puzzle car is the third version, from 1964, with a bigger grille (third and last picture).
The car was offered as Fiat 1500 (chassis from Fiat 1300/1500), Fiat 1600S (with the OSCA engine), Abarth 1600.

I suppose it's possible someone has fitted a 2300 cc engine in the 50 years since this car was built, which is why it was described as an Abarth 2300.  Few cars seem to keep their originality intact down the years.
