Well, that's a start, but I want much more for the point.
I will lock it for you for 12 hours to see what else you can find though.

This car is not in my area of interest but thanks to this puzzle I can know its story, all cars has a story, I prefer vintage ones but in this crisis time projects like this are well recibed. I do not intend to bore or overwhelm anyone infromación so it's just a  review about the car and draft Paul Elios I hope that this was that is expected.

Elio Motors is an American startup automaker founded in 2008 by Paul Elio, engineer and company CEO. Paul Elio wanted to bring affordable transportation to drivers and create jobs for American workers.  The car is planned to use 95% American parts and American labor, vitally important to Paul.

This three wheeler is going to be its first product. It is a 2-seater disposed in tandem. The car measures 160.5 inches (4.1 m) long and has a 110-inch (2.8-m) wheelbase and 66.8-inch (1.7 m) front track. Despite the car's diminutive package, Elio Motors claims that it can fit 95 percent of men and has even tested it with 6-foot 8-inch (2 m) and 325-pound (147-kg) occupants.

Because of the Elio’s small size, the company was able to achieve a high fuel economy rating without the use of an electric motor or hybrid powertrain. Instead the Elio is powered by a three-cylinder 1.0L engine that generates 70 horsepower. The Elio fuel consumption is rated at 84 mpg (2.8 l/100 km)  on the highway and 49 mpg (4.8 l/100 km). in the city. Thanks to its eight gallon fuel tank, the Elio can travel up to 672 miles on a single tank of gas. It can also reach speeds over 100 MPH, and 0-60 mph in under 9.6 seconds. The small 3-wheeler is able to hit speeds of up to 100 mph (161 km/h), and it can hit 60 mph (96.5 km/h) in 9.6 seconds. Other Elio equipment includes disc brakes with ABS; 15-inch wheels; a 5-speed automatic transmission; and independent suspension with unequal length control arms, coil-over-spring and shock in the front, and mono-shock with coil-over-spring and shock in the rear.. It promises that trunk space will be at least 27 x 14 x 10 inches (68.6 x 35.6 x 25.4 cm).

Scheduled to sell for less than half the price of the current cheapest car in America, it is claiming that the car will cost US$6,800. Elio's price isn't one of those obnoxious base prices that excludes radio, air conditioning, seats, door handles ... it includes all those things, plus a heater, defroster, power windows, power door locks and three airbags. Most of the components of the Elio are already in production, allowing the vehicle to keep a low cost and hopefully low insurance premiums. Because most of the components can be purchased at a corner auto parts store the carmaker is expecting low maintenance costs.

Elio Motors is based in Phoenix, Arizona, and is preparing to manufacture its vehicles in Caddo Parish, Louisiana, using a portion of the former General Motors Shreveport Operations plant. The company projects employment up to 1,500 at the Shreveport plant, beginning in the 4th quarter of 2014. Production is projected to begin in the 1st quarter of 2015. Paul Elio has said he wants to produce up to 250,000 cars at the plant per year.

What is said in Elio Motor Official page about all:

Elio is not a fling. It is not a novelty.
It is the product of a mobile society naturally evolving to a more efficient andpractical form of transportation.
Let’s look at the facts and realities of the world we live in:
•   Gas today is at an all-time high
•   Space is becoming a smaller and smaller commodity and we’re being crowded off our roads and bumped and dinged out of our parking lots
•   Cars cost more than the average house did only a few decades ago

Traditional personal transportation isn’t working like it used to. We need a new way of getting around.
That’s when a car enthusiast, a visionary, a man with a dream named Paul Elio got an idea. A simple, brilliant idea. To create a vehicle for today’s generation of drivers that addressed their transportation needs and the world’s new realities.

The result is Elio

And it’s more than merely a fun, fuel-efficient way to get around. Elio can have a profound effect on our economy – creating approximately 1500 jobs in Louisiana alone. And we all know the ripple effect a vehicle has when you factor in everyone from the suppliers and their employees to all the other businesses that prosper from putting previously unemployed people to work.
Elio is a major step in curbing the erosion of our environment and making us far less dependent on foreign oil. Just think how that will affect the political landscape of our world!
From the economy to the environment to the national debt to foreign relations, Elio is an idea whose time has come – and that time is now!

However Paul Elio project could have some problems:
- The first is that in a lot of states, 3-wheeled vehicles are classified as motorcycles, requiring a motorcycle license and helmet. Elio is working with the legislature in getting HB218 passed into law for exempting vehicles like the Elio from motorcycle requirements.
- The second but not small problem could be whether it will be able to finance its operations. It seems a bit early to start making reservations but the opportunity is available, however, starting at $100.

What will happen...

That's a big cut and paste!

On some sites a model name is mentioned, though not on Elio Motors own site..
Nevertheless I'd still like to have it before awarding a point.

Lots of optimism and big plans; the only thing they're short of is money to do it all with..
There are those who liken the project to the Dale from the 1970s; if you don't know that story check into it - it makes interesting reading!

Locked for you to give that final piece of information.

Sorry Carnut  I did not know what exactly you were looking for. I have found that new Elios project car is going to be named P4 and the puzzle car could be named P3 as I have seen in a forum.

Is this the Dale you talked about?

Still locked for you..

This is what I'm after, yes.
I suppose it's a play on the word "Trike" but it seems it's not its official name anyway as it's not mentioned on Elio's website.
Another point.

You should read up on the Dale - there are those who see a lot of parallels between that and the Elio..
