This car has been pictured here before but not puzzled.
So what is it and who built it, for 1 point?:

It's a car built in India in 1975... this is what I remember... but I don't have the name... I have to search... withut SBI...

I remember I have read about this car in an article somewhere (on the net) where they compare it with the new Tata Nano... so "India 1975 Tata Nano" would be a good research...

Well observed about the inspiration for this car, too.  It had never struck me before but the similarities are remarkable, if rather less successful...
