From what i can gather "Vetrotex RMP" is a registered trade name for "Glass fibre"...!
I dunno what just happened there Carnut, but If its any consolation I think you did well and deserve a point.

That photo you had of the Bakelite body was excellent.
The puzzle question was to find the name written on the ad... and "glass fibre" is too general to have a lock... and the name "fibra di vetro" (the italian for glass fibre) is written on the ad and clearly visible... so it's quite obvious it is an ad for a specific glass fibre...
I don't see what do you mean with these last posts...
Wendax found the name and he worth a point...

What is the name (two words) hidden by the fuzzy area?
One point for the answer!
Vetrotex RMP?
Yes! One point for you.
What is unfair in this puzzle? Please let me know...  :o

I don't want to get involved in any controversy.  Just to say that it says the car in this picture is a Lotus Elite (which was made of fibreglass - body and monocoque chassis).

Did Lotus perhaps use Vetrotex RMP glass fibre from Vetreria Italiana Balzaretti Modigliani and the makers of the puzzle car, whatever it may be, did likewise?  Or did Vetreria Italiana Balzaretti Modigliani use any fibreglass bodied cars in their adverts and not necessarily those using their fibreglass.  This would be presumably be legal as they were selling "glass fibre suitable for building car bodies" not "fibreglass as used by Lotus and [whoever - RGS?]"

I haven't complained at all; I didn't solve the puzzle and that's that!

I don't understand Italian, and I didn't attempt this Puzzle at all so I don't have an axe to grind.  But based on what I see on this thread I don't think "Vetrotex RMP" is the name of the car.  So, what is?

It's the trade name of the glass fibre produced by Vetreria Italiana Balzaretti Modigliani...

That's what I thought, and the puzzle is not solved yet.
When I said "So what is?" I meant "So what is the car?"

The car in the ad is just an example of a possible use of Vetrotex fibreglass, as for the Lotus in the ad posted later...
I don't know the car, and in the ad there are no info about that...
that's why I asked only for the name of the fiberglass...

Don't worry...  ;)
The last puzzles I posted were often taken from Auto Italiana due to my research for the Alfa 1900 fuoriserie book... so I thought you had noticed that and you talk about Auto Italiana when you mention a famous italian review...  ::)

I don't agree.
Iluvatar only asked for the missing words and once they were provided the puzzle was solved!

I was under the impression this puzzle was about the car name also, but some of the puzzles on here are so inherently  weird I am content to sit them out and let the folks who can figure them out do their thing! ;D

I can see why.  Let's just say it was lost in translation!
