I saw this somewhere a little while ago.  It's a homemade amphibious vehicle (land/water), and I think it is from Africa.

Yes, you're right, so I'll lock this for you to see if you can find out the other details required for the point.

Well this turned out to be a whole lot easier than I expected.  A quick Google (Not GIS) of "African amphibious vehicle", and there it is on the first page, although you have to Google "Nigerian amphibious vehicle" to get the image.  The puzzle vehicle is the invention of 39 year old Nigerian inventor Mr. Kehinde Durojaiye Obasanjo.  It is called the: air-Amphibian jet, and the inventor claims it will be able to fly as well as run on land and water.  According to the inventor, the current model is limited to land and water due to his lack of funds to incorporate the equipment necessary for flight.

Personally, after studying the photograph, I'm not sure that I would want try this vehicle on water, at least not without a good life jacket, let alone fly in it.

He could get the backing from the Nigerian royal family - they seem to have plenty according to my E-mails. And their lottery seems to pay out big on a regular basis.... :lmao:
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

What, you get e-mails from the Nigerian Royal Family as well?  I thought that I was going to get all of their money, just as soon as I sent them some money to show my "good will"!  Since I don't have any "good will" money to send them, you won't have to split the windfall with me.   ;D

You got it!
To be honest though once you knew it was an amphibious vehicle made in Africa it was never going to be difficult to find, as I don't believe there can be too many cars fitting that description..

Yes, it's odd that he couldn't raise sufficient finance to see the project through considering the countless billions floating around in everyone's (and his dog's) bank account in Nigeria, most of which they seem to want to send to me (and billions of others..!) rather than spend it in their own country.

Frankly though, I believe it would take most of those billions to actually make this into anything remotely viable..
Mr Obasanjo should perhaps go into the Guiness Book of Records as the biggest optimist of all time!
