So it is a 100% genuine Bugatti, hence was not built at a later date using even genuine Bugatti parts, and the only part that was not built by the Bugatti company was the body?

Alex, you are getting it right. The car was build by Bugatti, the body was done by a coachbuilder. Having said that: one source states that the original body was removed and much later was restored to the original condition. I'm not going to say any more
