At first I thought it was a strangely big Silver Cloud coupé but when I found the actual car it all made sense. Probably one of the biggest postwar coupés ever made ?

Yes; I never knew there even was such a thing as a Phantom V Coupé until I found this picture. It has US plates so may have been built to order for someone in the USA, where it probably classified as a "Compact" in those days!
