Thank you for the point.

I found very little on the coach builder but apparently they built a number of limousine/hire/taxi type vehicles on the Taunus chassis in 1949-1950.  Also some Estate Wagons.

Here is a photo of what looks to be some sort of official car, perhaps a Police vehicle.
