The front end looks like it may have late 1940s Studebaker origins? (Hey, we gotta start somewhere!)

Is this a home-built one-off or a prototype made by a known 'special' builder?

It's all a bit odd - the front end of a Hillman Minx, and the rear end of a Cooper T4 sports car. I have no idea, but I have a suspicion about the origins of the puzzle photo.  ;D

Kit car ? I assume you mean a car that is made from pieces of various origins, not a car sold in kit form.
