What's this (full name, model designation and why it existed), by whom, from when - for 1 point?:

This is an early mockup for the Vauxhall XP-714. It was internally know under the name 998 or Sprint, and was developed at the  Chevrolet Advanced Design Studio in 1960. The XP-714 was supposed to be a model below the Victor, but was cancelled.
