My knowledge of motorcycles is the smallest book in the world. I'm sorry to lower the standard of your puzzle by using guesses - it's not the Anzani because I've seen a photo of that. Is it anything to do with Gnome et Rhone ?

I concede defeat! I told you I knew nothing about 'bikes. That marque is not on my internet list of French makers of the 1930s, even though it's obvious that they were successful in competition. And when I Google images or sites for that marque all I can get is information on the 'bikes.

I was going to lose from the start!  :'(

AARRGGHH!  I was looking for clues which did not exist. Such is life. I found a site which mentions a 3-wheel car they made which held 500cc class speed records, but nothing about this racer. Would you really want to drive for 24 hours in that?

(PS I've just looked at the entry list - this must be the car entered as a "Special" in the R500 class and driven by Vroonen, which maybe is a Flemish Belgian name)

There's no need to give me a point, I got nowhere near the answer. I'm quite happy to have it taken away. The incorrect country of origin didn't cause me any problem because I'd never heard of the marque anyway!
