Ever seen this ?

I did, but I'll be damned if I remember where. So all I am left with is a rather dubious identification.

Welll, at least we've got a swell color picture of it now!

I had captioned it "Popular Mechanics 1948", I don't know why. There were no color photograps in the magazine in 1948.

It's a still from the video I posted earlier.

Popular Mechanics produced short films in the 1940s and 50s that showcased technology of the near and distant future. This short was released on May 21, 1948 and featured "streamlined marvels on wheels."

I would say it's almost certainly the same car at a different stage of construction.
I can't imagine they would forget doors on 2 different cars..!
