It looks like Begg FM2 - New Zealand's Formula 5000 car with a 5-liter Chevrolet V8 engine.

Sorry I have other information about the engine and having on acount the type of formula in which I think it was based I believe that it is not the same car, but as I know that my info may be grong, you are right about its looks and I also think that the car is from new zealand and  I will lock it for you, for more photos or info about the origing of the Begg FM2 for in case the puzzle could have any relation with Begg.

Was this car built in New Zealand or was it originally from the UK ?

Cancel that question. I've just found the car (I think) - the image has been deleted from the website where it is mentioned, but it refers to a wedge-shaped car, so I think it might be the Edbury-Ford, built by Larry Bryant and John Edwards from the wreck of a Valour FJ car, and later fitted with a 1650cc Ford twin-cam.

Yes you find it, I am sure that is the car, well done point for you. Bbut I think the car is called Edbry-Ford, by Edwasds and Bry. I had got it also as Edbury-Ford an this could be the reason I could not find, but today I have found it in two diferent sources.

 :applause: :applause:

The Edbry Ford was merely a rebodied Valour Fj which was done by John EDwards and Larry BRYant. Somewhere along the line the original wheels were replaced with wider ones.
