Is this Audi's new forthcoming convertible sports car?!
No, but you can earn 1 point by telling me what it is, from when it dates, who is reputed to have bodied it and what its chassis number is:

ANYONE FOUND GIVING ANSWERS OBTAINED BY USING GOOGLE SEARCH BY IMAGE MAY BE BANNED FOR AN INDETERMINATE PERIOD, AND THIS PUZZLE IS ONLY OPEN TO THOSE WHO HAVE EXPRESSED THEIR AGREEMENT TO THAT IN THE THREAD IN THE NEWS AND INFORMATION SECTION.

Please do not sell this one to Audi......it is a Siata. It wants to be 300 BC or an 208, but in real life it is a bit later,it is a Siata Spring that is based on the Fiat 850 (68-75)

waht it wants to be:

I'll have to dig into my sources and see if they are correct.

I've checked into this and my information seems to be correct, so I'm afraid it's not what you guessed.
I now have a bit more information about it too so I've changed the requirements for the point a bit!

Well it is not in my Fornoi book on the Siata. I was Lucky to sit in a Daina Sport Coupe yesterday.  My first impression was that it was a rebodied spring that was resembling a 200BC.
It is an earlier one, supposedly bodied by Vignale 500 Super Testa  Sport, currently advertised on Anamera (one of 7 Siata's currently for sale on anamera).

Production 1940 Chassis No 072869 (frame number) as Fiat Topolino Transformabile
With Engine no 073274 according the registration papers
Siata Super Testa engine installed; time not exactly known
Registration no in Italy RM 117284
According the old owner:
Aluminium body made by Vignale arround 1955
1988 sold to Tiziano Vago
1991 ASI Certificate no 5909
1994 participation Mille Miglia no. 120 Vago-Niggi (187th total)
New Topolino C engine no 073274
1996 sold to T. Gelmini
1997 sold to germany W. Schäfer
2004 sold to U. Heusel
Nut and bold restoration von 2005 to 2012 with new Topolino A engine no 077611 with Super Testa head.

It was a coincidence that I checked the Siata's that are currently for sale, and found this one. The book that I have from Fornai did not have this car in it. The super testa is well described, but this model was not pictured, and its model is clearly post 1950, not a 40 model. as the body was beleieved to be made in 1955, it is very much a mixture of the 300BC and the 208, which are gorgeous spiders.
According to my info some Siata Springs were later converted into barchetta models, I first believed this was one of them as well.
