For 1 point, I need to know the make, model (2 parts), as well as the year.
It's not as easy as it looks.
-
Up.
-
mmm... Nodwell Terraflex?
-
No, but you're on the right path.
-
Foremost?
-
Canada is a part of the solution.
-
Nodwell?
-
No, sorry.
-
Track Industries?
-
I will try to guess it GO-TRACT GT220 around 1969
-
De Lorean = Logan?
-
Track Industries?
De Lorean = Logan?
Not those..
I will try to guess it GO-TRACT GT220 around 1969
But it is a Go-Tract, well done. There is another company name I'm looking for, that is based in another country. And it's older than 1969, which is a clue. LOCKED for serra.
-
Sorry If I am confused but reading your quote I think it is locked for me not for ropat53 so I'll try to summarize what we have, the name of model brand, Go-Tract from Canada and now we need another company for which go-tract is a subsidiary and this is not in Canada Correct? Furthermore the model is prior to 1969 that is a clue to, the year you're looking for?
-
Sorry, my mistake, yes it should have been locked for you.
Your summary is correct, there is another company involved. Looking at the earlier models should provide the answer.
-
Dont worry, I knew it was locked for me your post was clear. On the other hand I thought It was easier find the company you are looking for because Go-Tract was a subsidiary of Rolls Royce Canada but as I can understand other tracked vehicule company was involved. I had not found much information about Go-tract yestarday but i will try to dig into.
-
Rolls Royce is the company name I was after. I think when Go-Tract started it was a subsidiary of RR UK, then RR Canada. These were sold as Rolls Royce Go-Tracts in Australia during 1968-69, so I thought that was their proper name. The year for this vehicle is 1968, which close enough to your answer. This particular machine had a 5 letter model name, and was the size down from the 220. If you can tell me that, that would be good. It's mentioned a couple of places on the internet, but is hard to find. I'll give you a couple of days, if you can't find it, I'll call it solved.
So far, 1968 Rolls Royce Go-Tract xxxxx xxx
-
I have seen that Go-tract started in 1964 and if my mind does not fail it was converted in 1968 RR subsidiary. I have seen a photo where apeared the front of a Go-Tract and can be read DEMON 200 maybe this is what you are looking for.
-
Perfect answer, a well deserved point. I'm not too clear on the Go-Tract history, and I'd like to know if they used RR engines, all I've found so far says that you could get a petrol or diesel, and one of them was 130hp.
This is where I got the photo from;

Thanks Craigh as you have said there is not much information about the Go-Tract history. I have seen some photos of Go-Tract for sale and old publicity but not much about the brand. This is some of I had found:
The company Started as Go-Tract limited 1964-10-06 to 1968-06-26 and then as subsidiary of ROLLS-ROYCE (CANADA) LIMITED. Loooking for relations with other track vehicles companies I discover that Erwin-Walter Siber was the inventor of most patens for the tracking system. I dont find anything about the engines but I dont believe this Go-Tract was Rolls Royce powered. And some photos

Serra, thank you for the photos, they are very good. The information I was using came from this 1967 article, written by the RR UK chairman. First column, 4th paragraph. As far as I can tell, the Rolls Royce - Go-Tract partnership ended in 1970.
