It's a modified Austin Healy Sprite called the Aerosprite, done by Tom Shrimplin in the early Seventies. Goal was to reduce the fuel consumption. Which it did from 33 mpg to 65 mpg.

I really thought that puzzle would take some time to be solved, so I am curious to know how you find it? (unless you don't want to share your sources etc. which I would perfectly understand. You can PM me also if you like).

Now that this puzzle has ended I wanted to personally thank the person responsible for this very interesting car: Tom Shrimplin. He is a very nice person and I was happy to have the opportunity to chat with him through emails. He also allowed me to use one of his photos for this puzzle.
