But I was wrong, and thank you for not "stealing" the point. I didn't bother to read the auctioneers' detailed description, which I have just looked at out of interest.

The reason the Stanguellini looked wrong was because it isn't Bertani at all - it's none other than the immortal Tazio Nuvolari! He looks really tall in the photo - either the bodywork was low, or he sat on a cushion. Phew! Saved by a bit of extra work.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Yes, now it is correct. I'm surprised that a Nuvolari puzzle turned out to be that tricky.  ;)
