You may possibly have it down as a 1960 Fairthorpe Zeta with a Ford Zephyr engine, but I'm 99.9% sure it isn't. That claim appears on a "certain site", but on the Fairthorpe Sports Car Club site it is identified as an Electron Minor owned by John Allan, who wrote the history of Fairthorpe Cars. And it doesn't look "beefy" enough to be a Zeta. I'll get me coat..........
Oops - yes, you seem to be right there. I also thought it didn't look beefy enough to be powered by a 2.5 litre straight six, but then all Fairthorpes looked weedy, with standard saloon car wheels - not even wire wheels - so I didn't really think to delve into it.
Unfortunately that makes it a repost since we've had the Electron Minor before, so I've merged it and actually have given new member ratapouet the point as he identified it first as an Electron but I said he was wrong and locked it for him to have another look, which he never did..
The Zetas seem to have a different front, but I won't post any pictures here as I'll post that at some date in the future as another puzzle since it hasn't been puzzled before..
Sorry nicanary!
